Call for Papers

The Academic Track is a space for sharing ideas and experiences from established and emerging reporting domains using standards and novel technologies. We are looking for applied research that tries to solve real problems and create an impact on corporate reporting, from data publication, data gathering, data interoperability, analysis and visualisation.
We are pleased to accept any work related to the areas of financial and non-financial reporting, which explore new opportunities,  challenges and solutions to achieve impact on decision-making processes implementing and consuming XBRL technology. Besides, any work that can add value to the existing corporate information available in XBRL and iXBRL formats  (See XBRL Open Data by XBRL International) and its market is welcomed. The following topics are accepted:

  • Perception and use of XBRL data by analysts and stock markets
  • Supervisory Reporting
  • Web technologies, semantic web and ontologies

Submission Guidelines

The submissions must be in English, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling. Each work should clearly indicate the nature of its technical/scientific contribution and the problems, domains or environments to which it is applicable.
Papers may not exceed 15 pages in length and it is recommended to be formatted according to the guidelines for Springer’s author instructions: http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0
Extended abstracts may not exceed 500 words.
Posters should be submitted as extended abstracts and be no more than 500 words. Poster size: Portrait A1 (841mm High x 594mm Wide)
Submissions and reviewing must be sent to academy@eurofiling.info
The Programme Committee will review and accept posters and papers, at its sole criteria. Comments and questions to the Programme Committee would be e-mailed to academy@eurofiling.info
Speakers of accepted papers, extended abstracts and posters have full conference access at no charge (poster printing, travelling and accommodation expenses have to be covered individually).

The Eurofiling community, the XBRL consortium, the Committee of European Normalisation, as well as many er similar initiatives, are built on the tradition of an open community, based on volunteers. No particular restrictions are applied to be a member of the different groups. Each group organises internally their work, structure and chairmanship at their own convenience, in a consensus-based approach.
In general, the Program Committee of the Academic Track is in charge of all the academic aspects, at its sole criteria, and, among them:

  • Call for Papers
  • Review and accept posters and papers
  • Chair the presentation sessions
  • Publication of proceedings
  • Link with scholars and academic stakeholders
